Pixel & Grain Designs is a part-time venture that I run from home. I started upcycling in 2017 with a few pieces of furniture for myself and family. I am self-taught in a range of techniques, including painting, decoupaging & image transfer, using my own original images where possible. Most recently I have discovered the art of fluid painting, in both acrylics and resin, and really love the huge r

ange of effects that can be produced. My other big love is wood work, and combining this with resin art in chopping boards and the like is a labour of love. I am passionate about the environment and try to reduce, reuse, recycle by sourcing all of my items from charity shops and recycling centres or saving them from the tip. I also try to reduce waste wherever possible, for example by using recycled packaging, using silicone mixing cups & reusing plastic cups as many times as possible. I am always looking for ways to make my art as eco-friendly and waste free as possible.

It’s incredibly sad to see this news from The Green Door Emporium 💚

Echoes of Earth has been part of the Green Door family since the very beginning, so it feels particularly bittersweet to see this chapter coming to an end.

I’m so grateful to Sam, Matt and Claire for creating a space that supported so many independent makers and gave small businesses like mine the opportunity to share our work with the local community. I know how much love, time and hard work has gone into the shop, and I’m very sorry that circumstances have forced them to make this decision.

As the shop prepares to close, I’ll be putting my remaining Echoes of Earth stock 20% off. Much of this is older, one-of-a-kind work that won’t be recreated, so this feels like a lovely opportunity for it to find new homes rather than sitting in storage.

If you've had your eye on one of my pieces at the shop, now is a good time to pop in and have a look. 🌿
