So, I’m baaaaack! 🤪

And freshly finished is this beauty of a bench!!!
Look at how shiny it is!!! 😎
Made from Pine (remember pine is fine!)
The contrast is an effect of lightly charring the surface, a process known as Sho sugi ban, or yaki sugi, a traditional japanese process.
Assembled with trusty screws and wood glue and finished with three coats…
YES 3 coats of highly durable marine yacht varnish so will cope with the elements easily,
Also has adjustable feet so can be levelled in situ.

Price is set at £220 collection or can deliver locally.

Can make to order with a minimum %50 (non refundable) deposit to cover materials.

Well….its ahem, smoother than it was, working the way up thru the grits.
Still terrified at potentially how awful this could end up looking 😬 it’s planned to be a wee glass topped ornamental table…..

So from a pile of squares to a tower of squares to something a little more rustic looking, now to refine and then a spot of sanding followed by another spot of sanding followed by, well you get the point.
