Running a painting and decorating business is about much more than just turning up with a brush and a roller.
Behind the scenes, there’s a lot that people don’t always see.
I’m a partner.
I’m a dad.
I’m the person ordering materials, sourcing the right products at the best prices, answering emails, calls, texts and WhatsApp messages, replying to customer questions, arranging quotes, planning jobs, and still trying to keep my own home and family life ticking along too.
Like anyone running a small business, it can be a lot.
That’s why I think it’s important not to take life too seriously all the time. You have to find the humour in the chaos, enjoy the little moments, and remember why you’re doing it in the first place.
Because behind every business page, every advert, every before-and-after photo, and every repeated post, there’s a real person.
There’s personality.
There’s family.
There’s hard work.
And there’s someone doing their best every day.
