DUSKY TEAL INSPIRATION, Yesterday I found this beautiful inspiration board on Pintrest. It has to be said it's certainly one of my favorite colours.
It would look beautiful as a full room colour drench or an accent colour in a dark navy kitchen.
What do you think?
Would you use this colour?

Too wet to venture out, so I'm indulging in the art of doing absolutely nothing... except drinking tea, reading a good book, and embracing those retirement vibes. ☔📚☕🤍

Since I have more time on my hands, I read quite a lot and just finished "When the Cranes Fly South," which I really enjoyed but cried at the end when the main character dies. It's a story of very old age and how they want nothing new in their lives but cling onto what's gone before and just want to leave things as they are. His dog Sexton is his main companion now that his wife is in a care home. It navigates the difficult relationship with his son who has now become the parent, and with a mum of 86 myself, it was an insight into the decisions or lack thereof that she makes. 🥲

This new book, recommended by a family member, is set in 1944 Paris and follows the path of Cooper as she ditches her philandering husband and ends up working for Christian Dior. I'm just a few pages in and already hooked.
Whats your plans today? Hows the weather where you are? what are you reading?

So here's the thing!
From my years of creating wonderful interiors for my clients as an interior designer, there's one thing I've noticed.
People purchase furniture and pick paint colors without knowing what it is they truly love.

Q: Have you ever purchased an item for your home only to get home and discover it just doesn't look right?

So here's the test for you...
If I invited you for coffee today, which space would you choose? Drop your comments below.

We're looking for a relaxing, comfortable place to catch up, be ourselves, and have the best time. Which image would you feel more cimfortable sitting in ?

This is why I've created the Home Guide workshops to help you understand what truly makes you happy... and our first workshop, "Finding your interior style," will give you this information and help springboard all your future interior projects.

For more information, please DM me your email address, and I will forward the details.

Beautiful spaces rarely happen by accident. They're built in layers, textures, fabrics, colours, and details that all work together. And that's why mood boards matter—they help us gather ideas, discover what you truly love, and create a home that feels uniquely yours. 🏡

5 Things guests look for when booking a Country Cottage.

1. First impressions: (photos matter most) Light, bright, well-styled photos make your cottage feel inviting before they even read the description.
2. A cozy, welcoming feel.
Guests book cottages for comfort.
Soft lighting, warm colors, and layered textures create that "I want to stay here" feeling.
3. Simplicity & Space.
Clutter can make a room feel smaller and less relaxing. Clear surfaces and thoughtful layouts help guests imagine themselves in the space.
4.A Memorable Touch.
Your cottage should feel special and grab the guests attention.
This could be related to the geographic location, an image, a styled dinning table, anything that make your cottage memorable.
5. Comfort that feels Effortless.
Guests want ease. Mood lighting, practical layouts and comfortable furniture.

When a space feels east to live in, it gets better reviews..
