I want to share a personal story with you all. I unfortunately lost my Mum to cancer when she was just 55 years old.
I’ve now been missing her for 17years.
Cancer changed my family forever.
I’ve always supported Rosemere Cancer Foundation over the years because I know how much it matters to people facing cancer — and to the families who love them.
This week I attended a very special meeting along with 25+ other business owners, together we are a fantastic business networking group who all work hard together to support each other and of course support the fantastic work that Rosemere do.
We heard from one of our members “The amazing, incredibly inspiring Sue Swire”, she is the Head of Fundraising for Rosemere. Sue also spoke about her own personal experience and educated us all on the importance of supporting this charity. She is an incredible woman, and listening to her brought home just how much heart goes into Rosemere’s work.
Rosemere supports local patients and their families across Lancashire and South Cumbria, helping make treatment and hospital visits more comfortable.
It has helped fund £1.7 million towards Surface-Guided Radiotherapy technology,
as well as nature-inspired lighting,
Spotify licences for patients,
waiting-area furniture,
faceless masks for people with brain and neck cancer, and therapeutic LED equipment to help prevent and treat painful oral mucositis.
As Rosemere approaches its 30th anniversary, Sue is looking for introductions to businesses seeking a charity to support, event sponsors, and individuals or teams willing to take on a challenge.
🎉The fundraising goal is £30,000🎉
For me, this isn’t just a charity I heard about at a meeting. It’s one I’ve supported for years, because I know cancer affects real families, real people and those we love most.
Who do you know that has rung that bell 🔔, This bell holds so many stories: people who have rung it to celebrate finishing treatment 🎉
But their are still those still bravely facing their cancer journey, and those we’ve sadly lost.
Behind every story is a person who is loved, and a family whose life has been touched by cancer.
If you can help, please get in touch, (comment below or send me a private message.
We are looking for support from local businesses who are looking for a charity to support,
