Based in Godalming, I have a small workshop where I bring new life to preloved or discarded furniture. Sometimes for myself, sometimes to sell and other times as commissions. I like each piece to be unique, have character and inject a bit of colour. Mixing modern and vintage, clean lines and shabby makes it more interesting. And the occasional injection of flat-pack practicality is perfectly OK to

o. Life is too short to be surrounded by things you don't love, but there's no need to throw things out. If it's still fit for purpose, let's add a little creativity and see what happens. It's been a glorious summer, hasn't it? I love the slightly slower pace of life the school holidays bring.

Also, we took a trip to Sicily, which was incredible. Have you been? I'm totally in love with that place and would love to go back one day. Maybe when it's slightly cooler though - 44 was HOT!!

There has also been furniture. I'll share soon. For now, I'm clinging onto the summer feels 💕

It's not glamourous. It's not fancy.
It's hand made, human made craftsmanship.
And the results are real statement furniture with soul.

Needless to say, I'm not a fan of AI. It seems to represent the opposite of what I do and what I care about - people and our planet.

Conscious living, off-screen (she says while typing this) is where real life happens, and that's where I want to live. You coming?

I've heard it said that "human made will become the new luxury". I think we need to make sure it's not just a luxury, it's an essential part of what makes us us. Let's not lose touch with that.

Your home should be your safe space, where you feel comfortable to just be you. But it should also be a space that feels like you, makes you smile and brings you joy. Little pockets of excitement that make you feel alive and energised. It could just be one stand out item or a room full of riotous colour. It depends who you are.

Either way, our vintage cinema seats can bring just the right amount of sass to your space. These ones are giving off full-on Fiesta vibes, which is what I needed to see today.

Is it a stool? Is it a side table? Is it a plant stand? Whatever it is, the colour is popping!

The colour is a rich, vibrant blue called Ocean from Fusion's new Alchemy range. It's a chalk and lime paint, but I've sealed with a lacquer to keep the gorgeous rich colour sealed in.

These super bright velvet colours are being discontinued, so if you've had your eye on these fab and funky cinema seats, please order now while I can still get hold of some of the last few meters remaining.

They were originally designed for the House of Upcycling area in Fabric at
2022. Then we took them to Design London in Greenwich along with some other bright and neon pieces. The Hidden 20% podcast hosted some famous bums on the bright green cinema seats they ordered from me. And plenty of you have them shining brightly in your homes. I am forever grateful for the joy they have brought.
