Based in Godalming, I have a small workshop where I bring new life to preloved or discarded furniture. Sometimes for myself, sometimes to sell and other times as commissions. I like each piece to be unique, have character and inject a bit of colour. Mixing modern and vintage, clean lines and shabby makes it more interesting. And the occasional injection of flat-pack practicality is perfectly OK to

o. Life is too short to be surrounded by things you don't love, but there's no need to throw things out. If it's still fit for purpose, let's add a little creativity and see what happens. My whole reason for being is to reduce waste, make the most of what we already have, and transform your furniture into something beautiful that you'll love again.

Great quality furniture is often hiding under outdated brown stain, it just needs a little revamp.

Your home should be your safe space, where you feel comfortable to just be you. But it should also be a space that feels like you, makes you smile and brings you joy. Little pockets of excitement that make you feel alive and energised. It could just be one stand out item or a room full of riotous colour. It depends who you are.

Either way, our vintage cinema seats can bring just the right amount of sass to your space. These ones are giving off full-on Fiesta vibes, which is what I needed to see today.

The colour is a rich, vibrant blue called Ocean from Fusion's new Alchemy range. It's a chalk and lime paint, but I've sealed with a lacquer to keep the gorgeous rich colour sealed in.

These super bright velvet colours are being discontinued, so if you've had your eye on these fab and funky cinema seats, please order now while I can still get hold of some of the last few meters remaining.

They were originally designed for the House of Upcycling area in Fabric at
2022. Then we took them to Design London in Greenwich along with some other bright and neon pieces. The Hidden 20% podcast hosted some famous bums on the bright green cinema seats they ordered from me. And plenty of you have them shining brightly in your homes. I am forever grateful for the joy they have brought.

Do we love these colourful patterns? I think they would look stunning on a set of vintage cinema seats!

I treated myself to an outing this afternoon to .design at (actual Button House from Ghosts!!!) mainly to see my friend Lucy but also get out and be inspired by some beautiful fabrics. What a treat!

I fell quite hard for collection of velvets but spotted some beauts at and as well.

When your childhood rocking chair needs a new look...

We all have something like this, don't we? A piece we've had for years, soaked in memories, we can never part with it. But it looks tatty and doesn't fit in, so it's tucked away on the landing or in the spare room. Every time you see it, it tugs at your heart, it makes you feel.

Let's get it out of the shadows and into the spotlight. A new look doesn't change its soul, it extends its story, another chapter, a new life, out in the light.

This has been a lesson in delayed gratification.✨️

I know you've been waiting impatiently to see the bar cabinet finished 😉 Well, here it is. Dark, luxe, with a touch of gold and lush floral velvet. It's a beauty and finally ready to head back home to London. What do you think?

I've been working on this for the last TWO months, not by choice, but because total transformations take time and care and patience. Proper prep, multiple coats of paint, carefully cutting and applying the delicate velvet, making frames with beading around the velvet panels, replacing baize, attaching new hardware, gold leafing details, sealing and protecting, then putting it all back together.

Was it all worth it? I think so.
