⭐️Mini Mood Board Monday ⭐️
Feels like yesterday I was in a t-shirt. This weekend I was in fluffy socks, with the heating on and a blanket. Autumn really did arrive overnight! 🍂

This mood board is inspired by the season’s sudden shift: the trees turning from green to orange outside, and that soft grey-blue of the sky.

Swap out your cushions, add a chunky blanket, dried flowers and bringing in a new season with texture and colour☺️

⭐️MINI MOOD BOARD MONDAY⭐️:
Beyond the Palette: how a repeated motif, mixed textures and layered frames bring depth to a scheme

A question we often get asked is: “how do you make a scheme feel so cohesive?”

This snapshot shows the thought process behind a design.

In this room we began by adding dimension to the walls: a rich green, panelling to anchor the media wall, and built-in shelves to add depth and interest.

Throughout the scheme we’ve echoed a floral motif, in the artwork and in the block-printed cushion, tassel on the throw; which makes the space feel as one. The timber repeats too, in the picture frame, the chair legs and the side table.

In the soft furnishings we’ve used a printed cotton cushion, a velvet cushion and a bobbled cushion, alongside a knitted throw. That’s four different textiles before we’ve even counted the other furniture!

We often see a single pop of vibrant colour added to a neutral space to bring interest, but it can actually make a room feel flat. All designs should feel like colour, texture and layers are woven through the scheme rather than dropped in☺️

This week we returned back to this beautiful mid-century house in Oxfordshire. This was one of the first jobs we ever took on, and it was time for a refresh.

We replaced some of the furniture and soft furnishings, making it more current and refreshed.

New look, same character, ready for the next wave of guests.

Autumn is the perfect time for one of our Refresh Packages are designed to replace worn out items, keep your listing looking current, review-worthy, and fully booked. DM us to find out more.

⭐️This week’s mini mood board ⭐️
Is a local Wallingford project, and we wanted the room to feel like it truly belongs to its place.

Wallingford sits on the Thames and is well known for its rowing heritage, so that was our starting point. We sourced a gorgeous set of vintage oars, which bring a sense of history and a bit of that river-town character into the room.

The palette is inspired by the waterside location. We fell in love with soft greens and blues, which feel calm, layered and quietly luxurious.

For texture, we introduced some rattan on the bed and the mirror. It was a deliberate choice: we didn’t want to add another wood tone and compete with the gorgeous original beams, and rattan gives a warm natural tactile feel without taking anything away from them.

Really looking forward to brining this scheme to life, will keep you posted on our progress

⭐️This week’s mini mood board Monday ⭐️is inspired by Dulux’s 2027 Colour of the Year — Sage Green! I’m honestly obsessed with this shade of green. I’ve Mixed and matched a few cushion combos together which are upcoming in a few projects… I think there’s something about sage that just works — grounding without being heavy, fresh without being too bold. Anyone else loving sage green too ??
