Not yet on the website but avaliable!

A rare and complete South German pewter lavabo set — ewer and basin — attributable to Nuremberg, circa 1680–1720.

The basin engraved with a dowry inscription recording a gift to Anna, daughter of the Reckware family, with struck maker's and town marks to the bouge. The ewer retaining its original bifurcated thumbpiece and scroll handle. A remarkable survival, intact and with a human story three centuries old.

Now at Walsingham Mill.

A rare Georgian survivor.

This substantial carved and polychrome wood portrait relief of Admiral Lord Nelson — circa 1805, almost certainly the work of a British dockyard or maritime vernacular carver — retains its original painted inscription LORD NELSON on the verso.

Chip-carved foliate surround, original polychrome, bold shield-form backboard. Approximately 51cm in height.

A genuinely uncommon piece of British maritime folk art.

A 17th-century English oak form, now settled into its new home in Somerset, England — shipped from Walsingham Mill, Norfolk, this morning, travelling 270 miles and delivered the same day by - a great company who went above and beyond to deliver this lovely piece of oak furniture in a single day, not only delivering on, but exceeding our client's expectations.

Doesn't the carved lunette frieze and turned legs look perfectly at ease against those wonderful Victorian encaustic tiles. Exactly where it belongs, as if it has been there for centuries.

A battle frozen in oak. 🛡️

A magnificent high-relief carved oak panel depicting a classical battle scene — warriors in crested helmets clashing with shields and swords in a swirling composition of extraordinary depth and energy. The figures project dramatically from the ground, with genuine undercutting that speaks to a carver of exceptional ability.

Likely Southern German in origin, and dating to the 17th century, this panel was almost certainly made for a grand interior — an overmantel, chimneypiece surround, or cabinet front. At 54cm wide, it commands a wall.

The reverse retains its original adze-worked surface — a satisfying confirmation of age and hand craftsmanship that no amount of later reproduction can fake.

A serious piece for a serious collector.

From the stones of a medieval church, a face stares back across eight centuries.

Carved in English limestone around the 13th century, this almost life-size architectural head — once a corbel or hood mould terminal in a Gothic church or priory — was made by a mason's hands that also built the great age of English ecclesiastical architecture. The broad flat planes, incised hair, drilled eyes. Extraordinary survival. Extraordinary presence.
