This beautiful mixed-media embroidery piece is one of my favourite piece… it combines several textile art techniques inside a wooden display hoop…..Used Felt Appliqué: The main body of the purple bird and its bright pink wing are made from pre-cut craft felt. They are attached to the background fabric using a decorative blanket stitch around the edges. Used Ribbon Embroidery ,The large, dimensional purple flowers on the right are crafted using satin ribbons, gathered and stitched down to create realistic 3D petals that pop off the surface and Hand Embroidery:The dangling purple flower clusters on the left mimic wisteria are built entirely out of French knots and lazy daisy stitches.The green leaves along the vine are formed using satin stitches with smooth embroidery floss, while the brown branch and delicate vines use simple stem or backstitches.Small pink beads are stitched along the top arch to add a accent.
