Despite being busy clearing out our retail premises we have still found time to hand craft new stock for Watchet on Saturday! 🤩

Been a bit quiet on here because we are trying to organise behind the scenes. Closing the shop means I need a new workshop space, delayed delivery on a new shed means I’m currently trying to navigate my way around my dining table 🫣🤣

Anyhoo…… we are very excited to announce we will be local next Saturday (20th June) in Watchet 🤩🥰 we are listed as Mary’s Attic, but we will have our new banners & flag flying with our rebrand on and we look forward to seeing you all!!! 🤩

‼️EXCITING CHANGES‼️
We have made the decision to rebrand the business due to the closure of the shop. Mary’s Attic made sense when you could walk into our little shop and find lots of vintage/antique items you would find if you went into an old attic.

However we now are just hand crafting wooden chopping & charcuterie boards as well as lots of other wooden bits.
We have now become You Know You Wood 🤩
New signage & uniform incoming! 🤩🥰

It was the first time the Eat Festival had traded in St Austell today and the lovely people in the town did not disappoint! We sold 3 of our big chopping/charcuterie boards, yes 3!!! 🤩 plus so much more 🥰 Thank you for a fab day 🥳🥰

That’s a wrap until August with our Eat Festival family, however you can see us in Watchet on Saturday 20th June for the Eat, Drink & Art Festival! 😁

We have now officially closed the door of our little shop. We have had just over 3 years of trading in Lancer Court and we’ve enjoyed every minute. We’ve met lots of people along the way who have become friends ❤️
We don’t regret a single second of our little shop despite the closure and even though it’s a sad day, we are on to bigger & brighter things!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all our customers over the years, it’s been an absolute pleasure. 🥰❤️

One thing we would like to say is since announcing the closure of the shop we have heard quite a lot of ‘it’s shame because Wellington doesn’t have much in the way of shops’.
That’s just not true.
There are an awful lot of independent shops within this town who need you to shop in them. Use them or lose them.
The closure of our shop had nothing to do with rising costs, it was simply a big drop in footfall which led to a big drop in sales.
