Good morning everyone.
Sorry for the little radio silence , we’ve had a bit going on this end, and thought it was all settled… but onwards and upwards.

We did have a lovely summer, especially spending time with my boys, and it was so nice having Scarlet stay too as we’ve hardly seen her over the last few months. I also had a couple of weeks of house, dog, cat and even fish sitting, which we thoroughly enjoyed. So there were definitely some bright moments.

I’m currently in the middle of a few more of my wooden cats with the sunrise and wildflowers, and I’m really enjoying painting them. I’ll share them properly once they’ve been gifted after Crimbo.

For now, here’s an old favourite , these two gorgeous Frenchies. I drew them with Prismacolor pencils, and the background was created with pastels (which I’ve never quite mastered, but they make beautiful soft backgrounds).
This piece is 12x16 inches, I still have the original, and I’d love to find it a home. I can also have canvas prints made, and it looks fab on a greeting card too.

Waffling on as usual… I hope you’re all doing well.

Here is Patch, all finished. I was sad to hear that the wee man crossed over the rainbow bridge not long after this piece was requested. Mum said that's how she remembers him hiding in the grass. I do hope at least it will bring a tiny bit of comfort.
Thank you again, Hayley, for trusting me with another one of your kitties .
Patch was Painted on a 30cm tall wooden cat cut out , it is almost 2 cm wide and is free-standing. This size is best leaning against a wall. If you would lie something similar please drop me a line .

Morning morning !!! Meet Megan. I painted her a couple of weeks ago, and is now safe to show off since it's been gifted. I was told that Dad was grinning from ear to ear, so I'm guessing he loved it lol.
Megan was painted on a size 25 x 30 cm slate and has now taken pride of place outside Park View

Realy enjoying my latest kitties, I've got 3 on the go 2 of which I can't show just yet . I had a couple of attempts at the sunsets which I didn't like so sanded everything off and started again with fresh eyes . Im loving how they turned out . Aww, I'm sad to hear Beautiful Misty has now crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the grand old age of 17. He was also known as Shadow, as he was always a step behind anyone who visited. I have drawn this sweet boy a couple of times and have always enjoyed drawing him.
Run free, beautiful Misty and I am sure that you are shadowing someone who adores you very much x

Had so much fun with these 20x30-inch house plaques. Do let me know if you'd like something similar. My next available slot is mid october. I'm off to paint a doggy house plaque and make a start on some free-standing kitties. I've got 3 to paint, nothing i can show off until they've been gifted. Good evening, lovelies.
How are you finding this cooler weather? Brian gave me that look earlier when I shut the window — the breeze felt a tad chilly to me,

Meet Rogue and Rambo — aren’t they just the cutest pair? I’ve had the pleasure of drawing them several times now, and they never fail to make me smile.

This piece was created with my trusty Prismacolor pencils on 12x16 inch black Stonehenge paper, which is made from 100% cotton and perfect for rich, vibrant colour. I used a handful of lovely photos for reference, I added a purple blanket as it's a beautiful contrast to the fur colour and Rambos collar.

I’ve only got a couple of slots left for drawings or paintings to be finished in time for the big C, so if you’re thinking of a special gift, now’s the moment to give me a nudge.

I’ll be around for a while this evening catching up — give me a little wave if you spot me. And you’re more than welcome to share my work with your friends; I’d love to reconnect with some of my old followers from Shirley’s Pencil Art.
