✨ C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ✨

We have our winner! Hopefully we will be able to get a photograph of our lucky winner with his prize to post when it’s been delivered!

Thank you so much to all of you for having a go - if I had the time to crochet you all your own bear, I genuinely would!

Like every year, I will send the total amount to Royal British Legion on 11th November - (I’ve got a couple of poppies left and still having a few people wanting to donate) and I will post the donation and confirmation email.

Thank you for trusting me and for taking part. Well done to our winner!

10 years ago today, I’d made my very first batch of poppies!

Swipe across to see our 10 year special ‘Un-Named Bear’, whose name was inspired by the story of The Unknown Warrior. No one name could have been enough for who and what this bear and all of the poppies made over the years represent.

You only have until this Friday to get your entries in to be in with a chance of winning! All funds raised go to Royal British Legion

❤️

📣🧸♥️• FINAL WEEK - GET YOUR ENTRIES IN AND SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!•♥️🧸📣

Total update: £172 raised so far and 74 entries!

Can I tempt anyone to part with £2 to make it up to 75 so that I can rest easy tonight knowing I’m on a nice number?

Thank you so much to everyone who has taken part so far this year. If you haven’t got your spot yet - you have just this week only to get your entries in to win the gorgeous Un-Named Bear that has been lovingly hand-crafted by yours truly. As with every year, every single penny received goes directly to Royal British Legion and I will post the confirmation email of the final amount donated.

To enter, and to be in with a chance of winning this one-of-a-kind, crocheted remembrance bear, all you need to do is comment below and let me know how many entries you would like -

1 entry - £2
3 entries - £5

Let me know how you’d like to pay, PayPal/bank transfer/cash (PayPal/ bank transfer preferred so I can keep everything digital and in one place).

I’ll send you the details and confirm once received. I’ll then give you your lucky numbers ready for the winners draw and announcement on Saturday 31st October 2026.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

✨ Sunday Reminder! ✨Hello! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend! Just had my Sunday roast and realised that its been such a busy week that I haven’t posted about our fundraiser for Royal British Legion this week!

Still working away in the background though - this week I’ve made some posters to spread the word, made poppies and collected cash donations.

If you haven’t had a go to win the gorgeous ‘Un-named Bear’ yet and would like to be in with a chance of winning him - you can join in for just £2 for one number or for 3 numbers - £5.

Please comment or drop me a message with how many numbers you would like, then send your donation via PayPal - Search for and you should find me - please use Family and Friends so that we receive your full donation. Every single penny received is donated to The Royal British Legion.

If you would prefer bank transfer or if you’d rather use cash then please drop me a message so that I can arrange with you.

I will confirm with you once your donation has come through and confirm your lucky numbers! 🍀

Final entries: Friday 30th October.

Winner will be drawn at random and announced on Saturday 31st October. This will allow me time to get him out to his new home in readiness for Remembrance Sunday.

Thank you so much to everyone that has supported so far! ♥️ I will share an updated total and name list later on this week.

🥞💕 Happy Pancake Day 🥞💕

First things first - what’s your favourite topping? Mine has to be Nutella with strawberries and bananas! Then roll the pancake up and cut into little rolls! Specific - yes. Delicious - absolutely! 🥞🍓🍌🍫

I absolutely love that pancakes weren’t just thought up because someone fancied a bit of brunch, but more out of pure practicality.

Back in the day, just before Lent began, families wanted to use up all the “forbidden” goodies like eggs, milk, sugar, fat - well, mix it all together and you’ve got yourself a mighty fine pancake mix there!

I don’t know what it is but I just find something really comforting about that. A tradition that started as a sensible kitchen clear-out in readiness for Lent has turned into a day of flipping, scoffing and swapping topping ideas… and probably setting off the smoke alarm at least once. 🙉😆

It really makes me feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that every pancake is rooted in just making the most of what you have. Nothing complicated or fancy, just simple ingredients, turned into something warm and delicious and shared with family and friends. Now that’s my kind of tradition! 🥞💛

Also! What a day today - Shrove Tuesday 🥞 AND Lunar New Year! 🧧🔥🐴 This year is the year of the Fire Horse! Apparently, this is the first Fire Horse year in 60 years - it’s predicted to be a year of momentum and transformation after shedding our skin last year in the year of the Snake. I’m absolutely here for it! As I get older I feel I definitely look forward to and align more with the lunar new year than I do with the 1st January.

So, happy Lunar New Year to you - wishing you positivity, good health and happiness for the year ahead! 💕

And of course, enjoy your pancakes!! 🥞
