Had a lovely walk along one of our favourite beaches at low tide admiring the Eel Grass and noticed a lot of Peacock's Feather W**d had started to make its home there. This is amazing as we are at the most northerly tip of its range. Also a sign of things getting warmer.

INPRESSED INDEED
A project i have been working on over the past couple of months. I bought a rusty old book press on market place for £70. I then cleaned it up with a metal brush. painted the iron work and then partially polished the brass work but still retaining some character. My only ni**le is I would liked the green to have less of a blue tinge but I am still very pleased with the outcome and have a working seaweed press that resembled my logo.

Lovely afternoon out at Castle Cove Beach with Sarah and Scully our dog. Scully had an operation 3 weeks ago to remove a lump on her leg. So this was her first outing to her favourite beach and she totally loved. She is now snoring loudly dream of the adventure.

Now we had just the shelland time to start. With help from my brothers we started by putting up a water proof membrane that we stapled to the side walls. this would keep the studio dry, damp free and help with insulation.

With winter finally behind us I thought I'd look back at the project of turning our dilapidated old shed into a studio. After clearing out all the stuff you tend to accumulate over the years we were left with the shell. This was a shed with so many uneven angles that it was definitely going to be a challenge.
