After a few weeks focused on recovery, I’m slowly easing my way back into work.

No big launches. No all-nighters. No trying to do everything at once.

Just taking things one step at a time and spending a little time working on something that’s been on my list for a while… the Marsden Makes Co. website.

It’s amazing what a bit of distance can do. I’ve got fresh ideas, a clearer vision and lots of exciting plans for where the business is heading next.

For now, I’m taking things steady, looking after myself and enjoying being back doing what I love.

And yes, there may have been a one cup of coffee involved and lots of iced vimto!

Plot twist: I actually slowed down for a few weeks.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that’s not something I do very often.

Since being out of office on 8th May 2026, life has looked a little different. There was gallbladder surgery, recovery, less coffee than usual (still not over that one), plenty of family time, a low-key 37th birthday and making the most of half term sunshine with my boys.

As much as I’d love to say I’ve mastered the art of resting, the truth is these last few weeks reminded me that sometimes slowing down is exactly what we need.

The photos in this carousel are a little snapshot of what life has looked like recently. Not perfectly planned. Not particularly productive. Just real life.

But now? I’m back. Back creating. Back designing. Back helping businesses and individuals make their mark.

Thank you for all the messages, support and patience while I took the time to recover properly. It really has meant the world. And if you’ve got an idea you’ve been waiting to bring to life, my inbox is officially open again.

This one feels pretty special.

Not because of the certificate itself, but because of everything it represents.

The school runs. The coffee-fuelled design sessions. The late nights. The self-doubt. The risks. The incredible clients who trusted me. The family who supported me. And somehow, all of that has led to this… Branding Agency of the Year 2026 at The My Local Awards.

As someone who built a business around family life and a love for helping people show up confidently through great design, I’m incredibly proud of this moment.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. Whether you’ve worked with me, recommended me, followed along or cheered me on from the sidelines, I appreciate every single one of you.

A little out of office update from me

I’m currently taking some time away until 1st June to properly rest and recover after gallbladder surgery.

As someone who’s usually juggling design work, coffee refills, school runs and a million tabs open at once… sitting still definitely isn’t my strongest skill but family, health and doing things properly will always come first.

Messages, emails and enquiries will be replied to once I’m back but if you’re already thinking about branding, rebranding or design support for June onwards, my Discovery Call booking page is still open and available to book while I’m away.

Sometimes life makes you slow down whether you want to or not!

This Friday I’m having surgery to have my gallbladder removed. which means Marsden Makes Co. will be a little quieter for a few weeks whilst I recover properly.

I won’t be taking any Discovery Calls until June and replies may be a little slower than usual whilst I give myself time to rest and heal.

As someone who’s terrible at sitting still, this is definitely going to test me but family, health and doing things properly have always been important to me, so for now the focus is rest, recovery and listening to my body.

Thank you for all the support and patience always. I’ll be back soon, coffee in hand and ready to make a mark again.
