If you've seen my stories recently, you'll know that I ran out of the sparkly pink yarn I was using for the mermaids hair, so, she's got 3 tone hairstyle, which I think quite suits her.

The hair took an absolute age to do, but it was also so much fun to create, so I think I'll be making another mermaid soon.

I absolutely adored making this woodpecker. It was the first time that I've used a continuous change of colours, and learning a new technique was so much fun (and fiddly!).

This will be another soft toy that will be sent to the Christmas shoebox appeal that I've been making up crochet teddies for, and giving the hashtag

I'm definitely going to remake him for myself too one day.

This gorgeous girl, my eldest niece, has also had a bedroom update. The pinks have all gone, and it's now a trendy tween room, with inspirational artwork, photos of her family and friends, and all of the things she currently loves.

She loves smiley faces and asked if I could make a smiley face on a blue and white check background to go in a photoframe. Luckily, I had a white frame, so put it in that for her. It immediately went on her desk when she got home. 🙂

My youngest niece had her nursery redecorated into a cute little girls bedroom. The walls pink and white, with a daisy theme throughout - so of course I had to crochet her a Daisy Garland as part of the decor!

It's such a sweet little space, totally girly, all of her favourite things, and is the perfect transition from a toddler room to big girl room 🩷

It's been a while since I posted about my Rabbit Baby Booties. They are my all-time favourite thing to crochet.

They keep the cutest little feet warm, with sizes 0-3 months old, 3-6 months old, and 6-12 months old.

What happens when you are trying to do a yarn destash, and you run out of brown. Give the bear some trousers!

Yes, I had to adapt the bear slightly. But he still looks cute! He should have a hat and scarf as well, but I left those out.

I'm also thinking that I might make another one of these bears, but not with brown yarn. What colour should I use?

This was actually the first one I made (before the cheetah and the frog). It was first real go at amigurumi (which means the Japanese art of crocheting) for years, and I really enjoyed making it.

A recap- I'm trying to reduce my yarn stash of anything I don't use for my Florence Nora branding. Over the years, I have obtained A LOT of yarn. I also, every Christmas, do a shoebox appeal, and fill shoeboxes full of treats and necessities for a charity where people have had to flee their homes at a short notice. I checked with the organiser to ask if it would be OK for me to donate some teddies for the children's shoeboxes, and she replied... Definitely. So I'm trying g to make as many as possible, alongside my usual work, as possible this year.

Happy Weekend! Hope the first week of January has been a good, albeit a cold, one.

Second up in the is this adorable frog, wearing his flippers so he can swim all day long in the pond! His shorts even have a pair of pants underneath 🐸 And look at his little individual fingers 😊

(For those that didn't see my first post in these series, I'm making as many teddies as I can this year to donate to Christmas Shoebox Appeal.)
