“Morning Sun” by Wendell Castle

A leading figure of the American Studio Furniture movement, Wendell Castle approached furniture as a sculptural discipline.

In “Morning Sun”, a continuous, organic form unfolds in a single gesture.
Executed in fiberglass with silver and gold leaf, the surface modulates light with quiet intensity.

A functional object, resolved as sculpture.

An elegant reinterpretation of the Art Deco spirit — where geometry, craftsmanship, and material richness converge.
This sculptural armchair features a fabric marquetry of five distinct textiles, meticulously assembled into a rhythmic play of pattern and relief.
Its deep wooden lacquered frame evoke the timeless refinement of Art Deco, reimagined through a contemporary lens.

An interplay of metal and light, “Fylla” embodies Elizabeth Garouste’s distinctive vocabulary of organic forms and material contrasts.
The sculpted bronze structure, adorned with gold leaf “leaves,” supports two delicately hand-painted shades—each carrying the artist’s whimsical yet deeply refined gesture.

Recently showcased at PAD London 2025, this piece celebrates the intimate dialogue between craftsmanship and imagination, nature and design.
