New signs have been added 🌻

Slowly but surely things are coming together for the shed. I still have things on my list we are working on but I’ll get there. I’m planning out the autumn makeover.. and I’ll say it, the Christmas makeover 🎄(sorry for the C word)

Another beautiful morning stocking The Floral Bar Self-Serve Flower Shop 🌸

Happy Friday! I have a busy day ahead with work and some deliveries going out - I’m hoping to get some sunflowers out later this afternoon so I will update you later if I make that happen.

Aside from the shed, I do local deliveries and collections throughout the week so if you are looking for something specific, a bigger bouquet, a certain flower or colour just reach out and I’ll see if we can get you sorted!

What a beautiful morning! Blue, clear skies out there today and it’s making everyone in a good mood 🌸

The Floral Bar Self-Serve Shop is open and fully stocked up for your this morning. We have gift bags and bouquets in there for you.

We do not have any sunflowers yet as they are still super closed up, I have them in the sun to try and encourage them open for you! I’ll let you know when I have them ready for purchase.

Expand for my ramble ->

The big question is… have you been honest? 🌸

I really didn’t know what to expect when I opened the doors.

I’d label myself as a realistic optimist. Of course, I know that somewhere along this journey there might be one or two occasions where I do the maths and it doesn’t quite add up.

But I also believe that, for the most part, we are all good people.

And it turns out… we are all good people. 🥹

Good people just getting on with our own lives, filled with everyday, normal things — tired, early mornings, trying to decide what to do with the chicken in the fridge (every bloody week), wondering what to put in lunchboxes and realising we haven’t responded to our friends in 6–8 business days.

And sometimes, in the middle of all those normal days, I hope someone surprises you with flowers.

Or chocolates. Or cake. Or a hot coffee to start your day.

The whole idea behind The Floral Bar Honesty Shed was to create somewhere that feels a little bit different. Somewhere built on a little bit of trust, a little bit of community spirit, and the belief that most people are good.

And so far, you’ve proved me right. 🤍

It’s the little things — like everyone being honest at my honesty box flower shed — that remind me what good humans we are.

Let’s see what the next few weeks bring! I’ll update you again soon.

Good Morning,

A full restock of the self-serve flower shop this morning as we sold out of gift bags yesterday! Thank you so much for supporting local - we have some amazing local florists and artists in Inishowen and spending your money in local businesses really does recirculate that money back into our community.

I hope some of you got some lovely surprises yesterday, whether you were buying for yourself or reminding someone that you love them 🌸

P.S the sunflowers are stunning today, I want to buy them all and put them in the middle of my kitchen 🌻

Leaving cert results day 🌸

A different post from me however today isn’t always the best day for everyone and while I want to congratulate everyone who opened their results and got what they wanted, I wanted to recognize those who maybe didn’t and tell you about why it doesn’t always matter!

Life is tough and sharing some normal life experiences, different paths and outcomes and showing what being a normal human looks like isn’t always bad!

If you have any leaving cert stories to share, I’d love to hear them! What did study and what do you do now? Did you change career? Did you skip uni and find something you love instead? Now I’m just being nosey.. 🤓
