[ENG/PT] This is one of my favourite pieces so far, I love their expression and how soft it is 😊

[ENG/PT] Last year I did a few illustration courses because I was feeling stuck and wanted to come out of my comfort zone. This print was inspired by the teachings of the great Aaron James Draplin] on his illustration class 👌✨ totally recommend. I really liked the iterations process he teaches.
About this piece... It's a screen print made with stencils, I'm really embracing this process now. There is also a bit of my home island in this work because pineapples are a big deal in Azores 😙

No ano passado fiz alguns cursos de ilustração porque me sentia encalhada e queria sair da minha zona de conforto. Esta impressão foi inspirada pelos ensinamentos do grande Aaron James Draplin] na sua aula de ilustração 👌✨ recomendo a 100%. Gostei muito do método de desenvolver iterações que ele ensina.
Sobre este trabalho... É uma serigrafia feita com stencil, estou realmente a abraçar este processo.
Este trabalho também tem um pouco da minha terra natal uma vez que o ananás é fruto de referência nos Açores 😙

[ENG/PT] It's been a while since my last post... A year it seems 😅
When the pandemic hit I've left the studio and built myself a litle corner in my home for screen printing tests. With no emulsions nor light tables, I had to rethink my work process and the way I create my illustrations.
It has been an interesting process, soon I'll share new prints and a peek behind the scenes ;)

Já faz algum um tempo desde o meu último post... Um ano para ser mais precisa 😅
Quando a pandemia começou eu deixei de ir ao estúdio e montei em casa um pequeno canto para fazer teses de serigrafia. Sem possibilidade de usar emulsão ou mesa de luz, tive de repensar todo o meu processo de trabalho e a maneira como crio ilustrações.
Tem sido um processo interessante, em breve irei partilhar novas prints e amostrar um pouco os bastidores ;)
