🎨 A little before & after from a recent project in Portumna! 🎨

I had the pleasure of painting and revamping the signage for An Caisleán Pub in Portumna.

The original sign had been proudly in place for around 30/40 years, when the client got in touch, the brief was to give it a new lease of life while keeping the original character, charm and integrity of the sign intact.

Rather than completely changing it, the aim was to carefully refresh what was already there — bringing the colours, lettering and details back to life while respecting the history behind it. ❤️

It was a really enjoyable project, especially knowing that this sign has been part of An Caisleán for four decades and will hopefully continue to be for many more years to come.

Like so many artists, my journey started with a passion for creating, not with a grand plan. Just a lot of painting, a lot of learning, and a lot of hoping that one day my work might reach people.

Looking back while doing this interview for article is a reminder that even the biggest milestones have very ordinary beginnings.

I’m so grateful to every person who has encouraged me, supported my work, bought a painting, visited an exhibition or simply shared a kind word along the way. Every bit of support has helped me continue doing what I love.

A huge thank you to the Curraghboy Tidy Towns committee for inviting me to create this mural for the village. It was a privilege to paint something that celebrates the beauty of our countryside and community 🚜

The visit was made even more special when the Cummins family happened to be driving through and stopped by for a look. It was so lovely to share the moment with them and see such happy little faces enjoying the mural! 🥰

I hope everyone who passes through Curraghboy enjoys it for many years to come. ✨
