A heap of you have been asking for a closer look, so this is what I have for you right now 👀

A little sneak peek at the finished utility room. Designed and fitted by and I’m delighted with how it all came together.

The full utility room tour is coming over the next few days, including all the storage, details and decisions we made.

Dunelm finds, and this time we’re heading straight for the BARGAINS 👀✨

I had a proper rummage through the sale section and found some really good bits. Some practical, some pretty, and most importantly, all affordable 😂

🧽 First up, this countertop dishpan and brush set. Practical, neat and perfect for keeping the sink area looking a little less cluttered.

🤍 I also found this gorgeous dishwashing brush. Because apparently even washing the dishes can be aesthetic now 😂

✨ This little decorative tray was such a good find. Use it as a soap dish, pop your jewellery on it, style it underneath a candle or simply leave it on its own. I love pieces that can be used in loads of different ways.

🏺 This vase was another favourite. Such a lovely styling piece and it would look just as good with a bunch of flowers as it does completely empty.

🧹 And finally, TWO hoover bags for €2.50. Not the most exciting purchase I’ve ever shared on here, but sure you can’t go wrong with that 😂

As a new build homeowner, here are five things I would never put in my en-suite again ‼️🤪

And one BIG one I left out of the video, too much shower glass! The less glass, the better. We used a stud wall for part of our shower and I’m so glad we did. Less glass means less cleaning after every shower 🙌

Dunelm finds, Part 2 ✨

You seemed to love Part 1, so here are 5 more things that caught my eye in Dunelm. This time there are lots of gorgeous styling pieces, plus a couple of really clever practical finds 👀

🤎 First up, this gorgeous styling tray for €35. I loved the pattern, the warm tones and especially the textured detail around the edge. Such a lovely statement piece for a coffee table, console or kitchen island.

✨ These brushed brass textured trays were €16 and €20. They’d be gorgeous purely for styling, but they’re practical too. Perfect for candles, jewellery, keys or all those little bits that need somewhere to live.

🧽 A very practical one, but I thought these were so clever. Six cleaning cloths for €4, all labelled for different jobs around the house, including floors, windows and hard surfaces. Such a simple idea, but so handy!

📚 I loved these storage boxes disguised as books. You get two for €20 and they’re perfect for hiding away remotes, chargers and all the little bits of clutter you want close by without having them on show.

🖼️ And finally, this wooden photo frame for €12. Simple, modern and timeless, and I thought the quality was really lovely for the price.

That’s Part 2 done 🤍 And Part 3 is coming next. I found some REALLY good bargains for that one, so I think it might actually be my favourite of the three 👀

5 more things I’d buy in Dunelm right now ✨ Part 2

Part 2 of my Dunelm finds, and this one is all about those decorative pieces and clever little finds that caught my eye 👀

🤎 First up, this gorgeous styling tray for €35. I loved the pattern, the warm tones and especially the textured detailing around the edge. Such a statement piece for a coffee table, console or kitchen island.

✨ These brushed brass textured trays were another gorgeous find. €16 for the smaller one and €20 for the larger. They’re lovely enough to use purely for styling, but also really functional for candles, jewellery, keys or all those little bits that need a home.

5 things I’d buy in Dunelm right now ✨ Part 1

I went into Dunelm for a browse and there were SO many good finds that I’ve had to turn this into a three part series 😂 And I’m calling it now, I think Part 3 might be the best one 👀

🧺 First up, these collapsible laundry baskets. With our utility room renovation nearly finished, anything clever and practical for laundry immediately catches my eye. The standard basket was €18, and I also spotted one with handles, which is such a simple but genuinely useful design feature.

🌿 This plant stand was such a good find at €22.50. Obviously lovely for plants, but I immediately thought it could work as a neat little bathroom stand for towels, toiletries and all those bits and bobs that need a home.

🤍 I loved this sage green and white striped cushion. The linen look, frill detail and gorgeous shape make it feel really special, and at €18 I thought it was great value.

🧺 This wicker underbed storage basket was definitely one of my favourites. It’s a little pricier at €65, but it feels like one of those timeless pieces you’ll have forever. Perfect under a bed, but I’d also love it styled underneath a console table.

🛁 And finally, this colourful towel. A bit of a random one, but I absolutely loved the colour. Such an easy way to bring a little personality into a neutral bathroom, and it felt gorgeous and soft too. Of course, I forgot to check the price 🙈

Apparently, this is controversial 👀

But after living with it for over 3 years, I can safely say you absolutely DON’T need to group everything in 3’s.

Sometimes breaking the “design rules” just works 🤌🏼

Let’s get into it 👇🏼

We have underfloor heating both upstairs and downstairs, and it’s one of those decisions I’m really glad we made.

Upstairs we have laminate through the bedrooms and hallway, and it’s lovely underfoot in winter. But you can definitely notice the difference when you walk into the bathrooms. Tiles are a much better conductor of heat, so you can actually feel that warmth under your feet. 🙌🏼

But one of the biggest benefits for me is actually having no radiators.

It gives you so much more freedom with furniture placement and means you’re not designing a bedroom around where a radiator has to go. Especially in kids’ rooms, where the layout and furniture will naturally change as they grow, it makes the space so much more practical and adaptable over time.

Would I put underfloor heating upstairs if we were building again? Absolutely. 🙌🏼
