Our second Guest Speaker is Helena Golden!
Join for our upcoming “She Did It…” Webinar, celebrating International Women’s Enterprise Day!
We’re delighted to introduce Helena Golden, an Irish basket maker and creative practitioner based in Leitrim and the founder of Helena Golden Willow Woman.
Through her business, she combines her passion for traditional Irish basketmaking with a love of teaching, creativity and community.
Whilst working in community development, designing and facilitating projects focused on participation, inclusion and wellbeing, Helena began exploring willow basketmaking as a hobby. Over time, she recognised the potential to develop her passion and skills into something more and took the leap to build a full-time creative enterprise around willow craft.
Today, Helena works throughout the island of Ireland with people of all ages and abilities, from primary school children to active retirement groups. She also works with the corporate and tourism sectors, using willow weaving as a creative approach to connection, team building and wellbeing. Her business now encompasses workshops, creative experiences, public courses, willow craft kits and her Online School of Natural Craft.
