As promised, here is part 2!

(Be sure to check out part 1 first!)

These are a few more paintings inspired by my trip to Wales last October. Looking back through all these photos has me wishing I could go back and experience those beautiful autumn landscapes over and over (and over!) again. Especially this year with the heatwave we’ve been having in California this past week!

A little fun fact: A couple of these paintings were actually inspired by places in England, specifically the Wye Valley. They were such a beautiful part of this particular trip that I couldn’t help but include them in this series, too.

It’s so fun seeing the original inspiration side by side with the finished artwork. As you can see, sometimes the transition from real life to art is more literal, other times it is MUCH more abstract. But regardless of the process, I love getting to share a little glimpse into how they came to life!

Stay tuned for part 2!!

These are just a couple of the paintings inspired by a trip I took to Wales last October! We spent our days hiking through the most beautiful landscapes and eating in cozy little pubs. I swear we couldn’t have timed the trip any better. The fall foliage was absolutely incredible. I came home with SO much inspiration for what would eventually become my Wales Wanderings series.

It’s always fun to look back at the places that inspired the artwork, so I thought I’d share a little side-by-side of the real thing and what ended up on my canvas!

Currently in my moody neutral botanical era over here 🍂

Heather on Beige Duo is part of my Highland Hues series, which is one of my personal all time favorites for autumn! There’s just something about the warm sienna tones and crispy forest scenes that I come back to over and over again. 🧡

Welcoming October with these autumn beauties 🧡

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at Wales Wanderings! This collection was SO much fun to paint (even if I was working on it during the height of the summer!), especially with all the muted/earthy colors and landscapes inspired by a trip I took to Wales last fall.

I REALLY love that these painting have just enough of an autumnal feel to kind of work all year long.

A few of my personal favorites for you all to enjoy!

Proof that some artwork just knows what season it belongs to...

A few pieces from my Fall Favorites collection, out in the wild and looking VERY much at home this time of year.

I love this collection because it’s chock-full of rich, earthy tones and autumnal colors, paired with my own take on the natural world. Putting it together basically made me want to light a candle, make something warm to drink and call it a day.

So if your house is also ready to fully embrace fall... you are in the right place. 🍂
