Ethnic living is a colorful shop that is the result of the many travels that her owner, Evelien van West, made throughout the years in south east Asia, following Evelien's interest in different cultures, and their expression in folk art. Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, Tibet and South China, are rich ethnic area where most of the products come from. In this shop one can find textiles and embr

oideries from different "hill tribes",
a big selection of Tibetan furniture and storage boxes, ethnic jewellery, wooden trunks, Chinese porcelain, pottery, cushions made from materials like silk or hemp, a big selection of bags, authentic embroidered skirts and trousers, and many more items. Everything has been picked up by Evelien herself, and she will happily explain the background of each piece. Part of the earnings of the shop will be returned to projects that support the healthcare of the tribes that live in the mountain area's and that distance themselves from the general population, and live in difficult circumstances.
