Looking for the ultimate crowd-pleaser? These are surprisingly easy to make and taste like a vacation in every bite.
The Recipe
Ingredients:
Fresh Mango: Cubed (1 large mango)
Pre-made Tart Shells: 6–8 pieces
Eggs: 3 large
Sugar: 1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
Milk: 1 cup
Cheese: Optional (shredded mozzarella or cheddar for a salty-sweet kick)
Instructions:
Prep the Base: Place a few mango cubes and a sprinkle of cheese into the bottom of each tart shell.
Make the Custard: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and milk until smooth and well-combined.
Fill: Carefully pour the custard mixture into each shell, filling them about 80% of the way.
Bake: Pop them in the oven at 170°C for about 20 minutes (or until the tops are golden and slightly caramelized).
Serve: Let them cool slightly so the custard sets, then enjoy that crispy, fruity goodness!
