EVERYTHING IS WITHIN REACH.
IS ANYONE CLOSE?

Mars. 2222.

Cities disappear into the rock. Flying cars slip through canyons. Homes adjust to your mood. Think of something, and it arrives.

Work is optional. Schools are history. Pets understand you. Relationships have become services.

Everyone has access to everything.
Everything has a price.
Even the air.

Welcome to “Back to the Future”—an architectural exploration of a world where every need can be met without another person.

These four frames move from the scale of a colony to the intimacy of a home, asking:

When your home gives you everything you want, what would make you step outside?

Perhaps a table.
Six chairs.
And someone waiting for you.

Would you live here?

Featured in Architectural Digest India.

At Pallaki House, a farmhouse outside Hyderabad, the arch was never intended to be just a stylistic motif.

It became a way of framing the landscape.

Drawing from Spanish architectural influences, the house uses a series of arches to create shaded thresholds, establish rhythm through the spaces and constantly reconnect the interiors with the land beyond.

The project was also an unusual and rewarding collaboration for us. Our client, Legala Praveen Reddy, is an architect himself, which meant that the process evolved through discussion, debate and a shared understanding of proportion, material and place.

The architecture stays deliberately low and grounded. Deep verandahs temper the harsh sun, tropical planting softens the built form, and Kota stone runs through the interiors, reinforcing a sense of continuity between inside and outside.

Architectural Digest India recently featured Pallaki House in its story on 13 design studios rethinking classical arches for modern Indian homes, looking at the many ways the arch continues to move beyond ornament and become a tool for circulation, transition, light, views and spatial character.

For us, the most important role of the arch here is perhaps the simplest one: to make you pause and look through it.

To the landscape.
To another space.
To a changing patch of light.

A familiar architectural form, reinterpreted through a contemporary farmhouse in Hyderabad.

Water is not just a resource to manage. It can be a design consideration.

From the way a roof collects rain to the way a landscape absorbs and retains it, water can influence how a site is planned and how its spaces perform.

By integrating collection, filtration, storage and recharge into the landscape, architecture can work with the movement of water rather than simply directing it away.

A small shift in approach, but one that can shape the way we design for climate and place.

Starting off a concept series where we revisit the best of our unbuilt projects, proposals and abstract ideas — designs that may not have found their way into the real world yet, but ones we’d still love to see come to life someday.

We begin with a 500 sq. ft. prefabricated weekend home for a photographer in Anaikatti, perched lightly on a steep, wooded hillside. Conceived as a quiet escape from the city, the home touches the land minimally, using local stone, timber, bamboo, glass and metal to create a compact shelter that feels assembled within the landscape rather than imposed upon it.

The idea is deliberately simple: a small place to retreat, observe, photograph and slow down — where the structure frames the forest, and the landscape becomes the protagonist.

PRIVACY IS A MATTER OF DEGREE
Not every space needs the same level of enclosure.

At Le Spa, the interior is organised through different degrees of enclosure, using curved partitions, visual connections and circulation to create a gradual transition between shared and private spaces.

Rather than separating every function completely, the planning allows spaces to remain connected while controlling what is seen, how one moves through the space, and how private each area feels.

Privacy becomes a spatial gradient, not a binary condition.

We were delighted to see our Principal Architect, Nandu, invited as the Guest of Honour at the Mazda Art Festival — a celebration bringing together remarkable artistic talent from across the country.

The festival presented a wonderfully diverse spectrum of work — from history and portraiture to conceptual art, abstraction and contemporary interpretations of culture and everyday life. Different mediums, different perspectives, and entirely different ways of seeing.

At Crea, we’ve always believed that architecture doesn’t exist in isolation. Art, architecture and design share a common starting point — observation, curiosity and the ability to see something familiar differently.

Experiences like these take us beyond the walls of the studio and remind us how much there is to learn from other creative disciplines.

A great evening of art, conversations, ideas and perspectives — and a privilege for Crea to be a small part of it.

The Architecture of Arrival.

In a home we are currently working on, we found ourselves thinking about the idea of arrival and how architecture can make that transition more meaningful.

The journey home begins much before the front door. A wall that conceals before it reveals. A shaded entrance that makes you pause. A change in material underfoot. A threshold between outside and within. A compressed passage that gradually opens into light, landscape and the heart of the home.

Each moment is designed to slow you down, building a quiet sense of anticipation before you finally arrive.

And as we worked through these spaces, we realised how beautifully this idea resonates with Ganesh Chaturthi —a festival centred around perhaps one of the most cherished arrivals into our homes.

A threshold is prepared. A lamp is lit. A kolam is drawn. Flowers are placed. And suddenly, architecture becomes more than space. It becomes a place of welcome.

This Ganesh Chaturthi, we celebrate the architecture of arrival, of new beginnings, obstacles giving way, and making space for all that is yet to come.

Wishing you a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.

Late for Onam. Right on time for Bahaubali. 🌼🎬

We shot this fun little film at the studio a couple of weeks ago, but our director had a slightly more important production to attend to — his own wedding — so we decided to cut him some slack on the edit. 😄

And anyway, we come from the land of Rajni. As Thalaivar said:

“Late-ah vandhaalum, latest-ah varuvom.” 😎

But then again, this was never really an Onam film. Onam just happens to be the setting.

This one is about us — the people, the personalities, the madness, the banter, and everything that makes our studio what it is.

And Bahaubali is just the beginning.

This is the first of many little shorts we’re looking to roll out — stories from inside the studio, about the people, moments and madness that usually stay behind the scenes.

So, fashionably late and with absolutely no apologies…

Presenting BAHAUBALI.

Before architecture becomes a photograph, it is conversations, decisions, site dust, sketches, revisions and a lot of looking closely.

The part that rarely makes the frame is often where the work really happens.

Architecture, automobiles, and people. At first glance, completely unrelated. But look closer, and you’ll find quiet patterns connecting them all.

Driven by lessons from our founder's grandfather, his guru architect Chandra Mohan, and his mother, InkD sits at the very intersection of design, movement, and human emotion. We look beyond buildings, machines, and behaviour to understand the deeper energy that brings them together.

We are constantly learning, reflecting, and building. Welcome to the journey of InkD ✨
