🌑 WINTER SOLSTICE & HOLIDAYS
What NOT to Do — Slavic Folk Magick 🌲🔥

In Slavic tradition, the days around the Winter Solstice (Koliada) are a threshold between years, when words, actions, and intentions shape the fate of the months ahead.

Avoid these during Solstice & the Winter Holidays:

❌ Do not argue, curse, or speak harshly
❌ Do not cry excessively or mourn loudly
❌ Do not lend money, salt, food, or fire
❌ Do not sweep or throw trash outside at night
❌ Do not cut hair or nails on Solstice Day
❌ Do not leave mirrors uncovered at night
❌ Do not kill animals unnecessarily
❌ Do not mock old rituals or sacred symbols
❌ Do not go to sleep angry or unreconciled
❌ Do not refuse carolers or sacred guests
❌ Do not make irreversible promises or vows
❌ Do not isolate yourself completely

🕯️ Why?
Because this is a liminal time — what you lose, give away, or speak now is believed to repeat throughout the coming year.

✨ Keep peace in words.
✨ Protect the hearth and the home.
✨ Honor ancestors and old ways.
✨ Set intentions, not burdens.

🌲🔥 As the Sun is reborn, so is your path.

"The 'medicine woman' is one of the most forgotten and suppressed female archetypes in human history.

She is the wise woman, the visionary, the seer, the intuitive, the healer, the sexual priestess, and truth-holder.

She holds the gifts of energy, healing, and expanded consciousness.

She sees the past and future and sees deep into the hearts of others.

Her passion is to serve and restore harmony, balance and healing to Humanity and the Earth.

She is the aspect of us that is ready to return as part of a greater Human Awakening.

In our pre-patriarchal past, during arguable hundreds of thousands of years, the Medicine Woman occupied an celebrated position in her society.

She served her community in all parts of the globe in myriad ways as shaman, wise woman, midwife, herbalist, oracle, priestess, sacred dancer, seer, and queen."

The Divine Consciousness of Bhairav Baba represents the fierce, boundary-shattering presence of Shiva that awakens heightened awareness, fearlessness, and complete clarity of existence. Bhairav is not merely a deity to be worshiped, but a living current of consciousness that cuts through illusion, ego, and spiritual stagnation with razor-sharp intensity. His energy resides at the thresholds—between life and death, matter and spirit, seen and unseen—guiding seekers through the darkest layers of their psyche where transformation becomes possible. Bhairav’s consciousness is alert, watchful, and unbound by time, teaching that true liberation comes from confronting fear, not escaping it. When a devotee connects deeply with this fierce awareness, they begin to perceive subtle truths, dissolve inner limitations, and walk the path of disciplined courage. Thus, the Divine Consciousness of Bhairav Baba is a powerful force that awakens spiritual maturity, shatters ignorance, and leads the seeker toward ultimate freedom and self-realization.

What It Means to Be a Solitary Practitioner
In many cultures throughout history, spiritual and magical practices were performed privately rather than in groups. Long before the rise of modern covens, individuals relied on personal rituals, household traditions, and folk customs passed down through families.

A solo practitioner (or solitary witch) is someone who studies and practices independently, drawing on history, folklore, and personal interpretation rather than structured group rites. This approach reflects how most pre-modern “witchcraft” was actually practiced... quietly, locally, and individually.

Traditional village healers, midwives, and cunning folk in Europe often worked alone. Their knowledge of herbs, charms, and seasonal observances developed through experience rather than formal training. Much of today’s solitary practice mirrors these historical roots.

Modern solitary practitioners typically explore:

- Nature-based observances tied to lunar and seasonal cycles.
- Folk magic traditions such as charms, herbal remedies, and protective practices.
- Personal study of history, mythology, and symbolism.

Solitary practice emphasizes autonomy, allowing individuals to shape their path while still respecting the cultural origins of the material they study.

In Kemetic/Egyptian Polytheism Anapa or Anubis is the God of Death, Mummification, Funerals and the afterlife. Anapa is usually depicted as a canine or a man with a canine head. Anubis assumed different roles in various contexts. Depicted as a protector of graves as early as the First Dynasty (c. 3100 – c. 2890 BC), Anubis is also an embalmer. One of his prominent roles is as a god who ushers souls into the afterlife. He attends the weighing scale during the "Weighing of the Heart," in which it is determined whether a soul will be allowed to enter the realm of the dead. Anubis is depicted in black, a color that symbolizes both rebirth and the discoloration of the co**se after embalming. Anubis is associated with Wepwawet (also called Upuaut), another Egyptian god portrayed with a dog's head or in canine form, but with grey or white fur. Anubis' female counterpart is Anput. His daughter is the serpent goddess Kebechet.
