She took me days to understand... and even longer to let go.
This is only my second contemporary abstract figurative portrait, but she pushed me far beyond my comfort zone.
Painting a woman who feels both deeply thoughtful and quietly sensuous wasn't easy. I repainted, paused, questioned myself, and kept going until every brushstroke felt honest.
Today, I finally look at her and feel... she's complete.
To me, she is brilliant, bold, and effortlessly confident. She doesn't need to be loud to be noticed. She is completely in her own world, lost in thoughts of someone special, wearing that beautiful mix of strength, vulnerability, and grace.
Every painting teaches me something new, and she reminded me that the most beautiful emotions are often the quietest ones.
I hope when you look at her, she tells you a story of your own.
