Gunjan Gupta

Gunjan Gupta Gunjan Gupta uses a highly nuanced vocabulary of form to produce pieces that are truly Indian, yet devoid of ethnic clichés.

Gupta translates indigenous influences into an instantly recognizable, palatable and international language. The formal structures derive from Gupta’s exploration of traditional materials and methods of Indian production. These have been in sharp decline due to the pressures of globalization and the trend for Western made products during the boom of the early 2000s.
