University Chef is a unique initiative taken up by Shyam Lal College in the year 2015. Season One was a huge success. Spread across 2 days, the SLC Season had more than 25 Teams, wh participated in the Round One i.e., the Elimination Round. This round, held on Day 1, was on the basis of "Bring your own ingredients and make a dish". Round Two of the Season was held on the 2nd day. The teams were gi
ven Mystery Boxes and were asked to create a main dish out of the given ingredients from the Box and a side salad dish. For Season TWO, Shyam Lal College invited ONE TEAM (2 members) from each of the Delhi University Colleges and other academic institutions. Season Two was held in February 2016 and had 2 rounds plus a Grand Finale - all spread across 2 days. Attractive prizes were given to the winners as well as few shortlisted teams. Now we are into Second Edition. Slated for 16th and 17th February 2017, the mega event is expecting a footfall of about 5000 and around 30 teams who will compete in a unique culinary battle spread across two days.
