Under a clear blue sky, we held our Shinto wedding ceremony at Matsuo Taisha, Kyoto's oldest shrine and a renowned center for sake brewing.
We sell vintage Japanese kimonos and other items, but the attire I wore for my wedding was a pure white traditional Japanese garment called "shiromuku," a particularly special wedding dress.
Wearing the pure white "shiromuku" and making vows before the gods was a tense and solemn experience, strengthening both my body and mind and solidifying my resolve for the future.
From choosing the attire to dressing, hair and makeup, and even the beautiful photography, we received support from many staff members at Matsuo Taisha, resulting in a wonderful wedding ceremony that will be a lifelong memory.

In front of our relatives, friends, and everyone who supported us, my husband, though nervous, clearly recited his vows.
I'm truly grateful that we were able to reach this day without any problems.
With determination and anticipation for the future we will walk together, we will support each other and live happily ever after.
After our wedding ceremony at Matsuo Taisha Shrine, we held our reception at "Toriyone," located right next to the shrine.
