【Toka Ebisu festival 十日戎⛩️】

Toka Ebisu is a three-day festival held annually around January 10th, mainly in the Kansai region, dedicated to the celebration of Hatsu Ebisu, a prayer for prosperity in business.

Every year, we go to Kyoto Ebisu Shrine in Gion to give thanks for the previous year and pray for the coming year.
We also purchase lucky bamboo and rakes to decorate our shops and homes.

【The first seasonal division🌿】

Special days that mark the turning points of the seasons are called sekku, and even today in Japan, the customs of celebrating the five seasonal festivals remain.✨

Nanakusa-gayu(7 Grass porridgeis) a Japanese ceremonial food eaten on the 7th of January, the Jinjitsu Festival, and is made with the seven herbs of spring, praying for good health and safety throughout the year. It is an ancient custom that also serves to give the stomach and intestines a rest after the New Year's holiday, and is imbued with the meaning of praying for good health and a bountiful harvest.🌾🌱
