One of the most valuable skills in business is knowing that there is always more to learn.

My journey in flooring has taken me beyond supplying and installing floors into exploring waterproofing and epoxy systems. Along the way, site challenges have pushed me to ask questions, do research, seek technical training and learn from others in the industry.

My experience with Mapei's technical training reinforced something I believe strongly in: professional growth doesn't happen by chance. It takes curiosity, continuous learning and the willingness to put knowledge into practice.

Some projects really do come full circle. ❤️

In May 2025, we were called to this home after waterproofing issues damaged the original woodblock flooring. The restoration went beyond removing the floor. We had to address the affected screed and plaster before preparing the surface for a new finish.

Today, we’re back to complete the transformation with SPC flooring.

A good reminder that beautiful floors start with the right groundwork. 👌

Most waterproofing failures don’t start in the middle of the floor.

They start at the details.

Pipe penetrations, drainage points, corners and joints are where water can find its way through when they are not properly treated.

On this project, Mapelastic Smart forms the main waterproofing system, while Adesilex PG2 is used to give additional attention to the critical drainage pipe joints.
