September 1st, 2020.
A date that takes us back to a very special chapter of our journey — our second major consignment of pure clay cooking pots, making its way from Kakamega to Nairobi.
Looking at this photograph today, we see more than a truck loaded with pots. We see a dream in motion. We see the faith, sacrifice, hard work and, most importantly, the people who believed in that dream and walked with us.
The Clay Republic has been through some tumultuous moments since then. There have been seasons of uncertainty, setbacks and challenges that could easily have made us abandon the journey. But through it all, one thing has never changed: our belief in the power and importance of pure clay.
We still believe that traditional clay cooking and water pots are not merely beautiful pieces of our heritage. They have a meaningful place in promoting healthier ways of cooking, storing and enjoying our food and water.
To everyone who bought from us, recommended us, encouraged us, shared our story and believed in what we were building — thank you. You have lived this dream with us.
The dream is alive.
The vision is alive.
The Clay Republic is alive.
The Clay Republic — back to our roots, back to our purpose, and soon… back and better.
We are 6 years old.
