• Regular Servicing: A consistent service record helps reassure future purchases that your car has been properly maintained
• Regular Washes: Use a sponge and warm, soapy water to keep your car sparkling. Treat leather surfaces and keep your dashboard clean and shiny.
• Waxing: Wax protects paint from elements and prevents accumulation of dirt on the surface of your car so that you don’t have to wash every single day.
• Inside Out: A recent study has shown that while men like a clean and shiny car on the outside, women are more likely to concentrate their efforts on cleaning the interior.
• Use floor Mats: These come in handy especially during the rainy season as they are easy to clean and protect your carpets from mud and dirt.
• Windows: Visibility is important. Change your wipers every 12 months and keep your widows squeaky clean with a window cleaner and microfiber cloth.
• Check Tyre Pressure and Rotate: Poorly inflated tyres make your car guzzle more fuel, while over-inflated tyres wear out more quickly and adversely affect steering. Rotate front and rear tyres to ensure they last longer.
• Check the fluids: Keep the check on your car’s fluids; engine oil, brake fluid, windscreen wash, power steering fluid etc. Note: Do not allow petrol pump attendant to overfill either as this can do more harm than good.
