đŸ„– This bread rises to the occasion
 literally! đŸ„– Beer Bread that’s so easy, you’ll wonder why you haven’t made it sooner. Perfect for soaking up those braai juices!”

Serves: 6-8
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 45-50 mins

Ingredients:

‱ 3 cups all-purpose flour
‱ 1 Tbsp baking powder
‱ 1 tsp salt
‱ 2 Tbsp sugar (optional)
‱ 2 Tbsp Texan Steakhouse Rub
‱ 1 can (340ml) lager beer
‱ 1 egg
‱ ÂŒ cup melted butter
‱ 1 cup grated cheddar
‱ 1 cup sweetcorn kernels
‱ Extra melted butter or oil for greasing

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 30cm x 10cm baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and BBQ rub.
3. In another bowl, whisk the egg, then stir in the beer and melted butter (it might foam a bit!).
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the cheese and sweetcorn. Don’t overmix!
5. Pour into the dish and smooth the top.
6. Bake for 45-50 mins until golden brown and a skewer comes out clean.
7. Cool for 5-10 mins, then slice and enjoy warm.

Pro Tip: Brush with butter halfway for a golden top. Feeling cheesy? Add extra grated cheese during the last 10 mins!

Lamb Chops with Creamy Mash and Peas đŸ„©

This is the ultimate comfort braai plate, packed with flavor thanks to Cape Herb & Spice! Juicy, smoky lamb chops paired with smooth mashed potatoes and vibrant peas—an unbeatable combo. 😋

Serves: 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

For the Lamb Chops:
- 8 lamb chops
- 2 Tbsp Cape Herb & Spice Texas BBQ Rub or Smokehouse BBQ Rub
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- Salt & pepper to taste

For the Mash:
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 Tbsp butter
- œ cup milk or cream
- Salt to taste

For the Peas:
- 2 cups fresh or frozen peas
- 1 Tbsp butter
- Salt & pepper to taste

Method:

1. Prepare the Lamb Chops:
Rub the lamb chops with olive oil, Cape Herb & Spice Texas BBQ Rub, garlic, salt, and pepper. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes (longer if you have time for more flavor).

2. Grill the Lamb Chops:
Fire up the braai or grill to medium-high heat. Grill the lamb chops for 3-4 minutes per side until perfectly charred and cooked to your liking. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

3. Make the Creamy Mash:
Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft (about 10-15 minutes). Drain and mash with butter and milk until smooth and creamy. Season with salt to taste.

4. Cook the Peas:
In a pan, melt butter and add the peas. Cook for 3-5 minutes until tender, then season with salt and pepper.

5. Serve:
Plate the grilled lamb chops with a side of creamy mash and peas. Drizzle any pan juices over the chops for extra flavor.

- 2 Tbsp Texas BBQ Rub and Sweet and Smoky BBQ
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)
- 1 Tbsp apricot chutney (for a hint of sweetness)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Wooden skewers (soak for 30 minutes to prevent burning)

Method:
