Most hat burners rely on lasers, templates, and computer programs to create their designs. Others use professional pyrography tools with dozens of specialized tips for shading, detailing, and line work. Some artists even heat razor blades with a torch to burn designs by hand.
Me? I use a simple soldering iron with the single tip it came with. Every line, every shadow, every detail on my hats is created with that one tool and my own two hands.
It started out of necessity. I couldn't afford expensive equipment, so I learned to work with what I had. Over time, that limitation became my signature style. Now, I wouldn't want it any other way.
There are no computers creating my designs, no lasers doing the work for me, and no fancy attachments switching between techniques. Just patience, practice, and a single tool transforming each hat into a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. I like to think that little bit of old-school craftsmanship gives my hats something a machine never could: a human touch.
