The Cordon Lamp in Cream.

Generously proportioned and designed to make a statement, the Cordon Lamp pairs sculpted ceramic cords, knots and tassels with a beautifully simple Hessian shade.

Made in collaboration with Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay. Finished in a glossy cream glaze, its scale and sculptural detailing give it real presence in a room.

A table dressed in Powder Pink.

Our collection with Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay is available in two colourways — Powder Pink and Sunflower Yellow — across tableware, vases and lighting.

Powder Pink is soft, playful and wonderfully decorative, with Henri’s tassels and fringes hand-painted across every piece.
Made by hand in Malta. Designed for tables that are anything but ordinary.

A first look at the lighting.

Our new collection with Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay includes five different lamps, each bringing Henri’s love of passementerie into ceramic form.

Shown here are the Powder Pink Fringe Lamp and Powder Pink Macramé Lamp. Two playful interpretations of tassels, fringe and decorative trimmings, hand-painted by our artists.

Soft powder pink, oversized proportions and plenty of detail. Follow the link in bio to see the full collection

Introducing Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay × Villa Bologna Pottery.

Our new collection of hand-painted tableware, vases and lighting is here.

Created with interior designer Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay, the collection brings together two worlds very close to us: Henri’s memories of growing up in Malta and our century-old tradition of making and painting pottery by hand at Villa Bologna. Tassels and fringes run throughout the collection, interpreted in soft pink and sun-drenched yellow and transformed by our artists into pieces made for the table and home.

Joyful, decorative and just a little unexpected — exactly as we hoped it would be.

LAUNCHING TOMORROW

For our new collaboration with Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay, inspiration came from this photograph of Brigitte Bardot lounging in a yellow hammock edged with a heavy cotton fringe and tasselled stone carvings on the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy in Dijon, and
Henri translated those references through something she often uses in her interiors — passementerie — playing with the idea of wrapping fringes and tassels around plates, vases and lamp bases.

Over the past year, we’ve been working with interior designer Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay on a very special collection of vases, tableware and lighting.

Raised in Malta, Henri grew up knowing Villa Bologna and its pottery, so this collaboration feels particularly close to home. Together, we’ve created a collection full of colour, pattern and a shared love of decoration — drawing on memories of Malta, travels through the Mediterranean and Henri’s wonderfully distinctive eye.

We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been making together.

Launching 22 September.
