We’re growing our studio.

Kristine Bonnici Design is looking for an Associate Technical Designer to translate approved design concepts into accurate, coordinated and buildable technical documentation.

We’re looking for someone technically strong, detail-oriented, with relevant experience in interior design, architecture or technical drafting.

Fluency in English is essential; Maltese is considered an asset.

A space comes together through the relationship between its individual elements - material, form, texture, colour, and character.

Old and new sit comfortably alongside one another, while natural light brings depth and warmth to the materials and textures within the space. The result feels layered, distinctive and entirely at home within its setting.

Soon, there will be a new place to discover more of our portfolio, and the thinking behind it.

Material has the power to give a space depth, warmth and identity.

Natural stone, texture and craftsmanship form part of the material language of this house of character from our portfolio - each element considered not only individually, but in relation to the space around it.

Another glimpse ahead of our new website launch.

From concept to completion, attention to detail shapes every project.

The materials we select, the elements we preserve, and the way each detail sits within the wider space, are all part of creating interiors with character and longevity.

A closer look at a stone detail from a completed house of character in our portfolio, as we continue to look ahead to our new website, coming soon.

Time for a little pause. ☀️

We’re stepping away from the studio for a couple of weeks to rest, reset, and find a little summer inspiration. See you soon!

Some experiences bring us even closer to the materials we work with.

Recently, Kristine had the opportunity to visit a marble quarry in Greece, kindly hosted by Grech & Ellul. Seeing the stone at its source, its extraordinary scale, natural variation and beauty, gives an entirely different perspective on a material we use so often in our work.

An inspiring experience, and plenty of knowledge and ideas to bring back to the studio.

Bespoke joinery brings both character and functionality to this contemporary St Paul’s Bay pied-à-terre.

Rich charcoal cabinetry, warm timber finishes and softly veined surfaces are carefully balanced to create depth without overwhelming the space. Integrated lighting, concealed storage and curated open shelving allow each element to serve a purpose while contributing to the overall composition.

The result is a home that feels calm and uncluttered, yet full of architectural character.
