Where the Wildflowers Roam
Inspired by the surrounding California landscape, this piece reflects the quiet abundance of green fields touched by wildflowers. Layers of texture and subtle shifts in color invite the outdoors inward, echoing the natural rhythms of land, light, and growth.
At 60" × 75", this is my most intricate fiber work to date. It’s been with me for over five months, challenging me mentally and physically in ways I didn’t expect. There were moments of doubt, exhaustion, and reworking… but also deep focus, learning, and growth.
I couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out. This piece holds persistence, patience, and a whole lot of heart.
After so much time together, it’s bittersweet to see it leave my walls… but I’m so excited for it to settle into its new home and bring that sense of wild, grounded beauty into their space.
