On the last day of Youni Market 25.0, a fellow vendor asked me:
“Where will you be at the next market?”
I replied, “Wherever Youni is, that’s where I’ll be.”
He asked again, “So you only follow Youni?”
I laughed and said, “I guess that’s pretty much it. 🥰”
Honestly, I really love the atmosphere at Youni. It’s relaxed, warm, and completely free of pressure. We vendors set up our booths together, and somehow, without even realizing it, we develop this wonderful sense of camaraderie — sharing the ups and downs, looking out for one another, and helping each other keep an eye on our booths.
There’s something very comforting about that. I simply love being in an environment like this.
Actually, I hesitated for quite a while before deciding whether to join this workshop.
When you make a handmade piece entirely from scratch, every single step takes time. So I decided to do things a little differently this time.
I’ve prepared all the more complicated steps that require electrical equipment beforehand. This way, participants can start with a semi-finished piece and then personally complete the remaining steps themselves.
You still get to experience the joy of making something by hand, without it becoming too complicated or overwhelming.
Just the right amount of fun. ✨️
Before I started offering workshops, customers would often ask me:
“When are you going to hold a class?”
Well… I’m finally doing it! 😆
So if you’ve always wanted to try making something with your own hands, come and join me this time. Don’t just keep asking me when the class is — now is your chance! 😂🩷
At the end of the day, whether I’m setting up a market booth or teaching a workshop, I feel that it’s less about doing business and more about finding a rhythm that feels right for me.
Youni gives me a sense of belonging.
Handcrafting gives me a kind of joy I simply can’t let go of.
And seeing the happy smiles on my students’ faces gives me the motivation to keep trying something new.
The quiet days and the moments when things don’t go as planned… perhaps they’re just little detours along the journey, not the destination.
So yes, I’ll keep setting up my booth.
I’ll keep creating.
And I’ll keep holding workshops.
Even if only one person comes, I’ll still teach with all my heart.
Because every encounter has the potential to plant a tiny seed of “handcraft” in someone’s heart.
And for me, that is more than enough. 🩷✨️
