Precision is not luck. It’s system.

Instead of struggling with a plumb, we use a laser level to set perfect lines.

I built two simple jigs for this: one to take my lines accurately, and another mounted on the base support — clockwise to raise, anti-clockwise to bring it down. Micro-adjustments until it’s dead level.

No guesswork. No stories. Just clean, professional installation.

Let me explain why, without bias.

With laminate board: you buy the board ready-made. You cut to size, you edge it, you assemble. Straightforward process.

With solid wood: you start from raw timber. Before you even build, you have to prepare it — jointing, planing, ripping, thicknessing. That preparation alone is a full process on its own.

Then you build.

Then comes finishing. For a small piece, you can spend up to two days just sanding and spraying in cycles to get that smooth finish.

So it’s not about one being better than the other. It’s simply more steps, more machine work, more man-hours, more time.

That’s the reason for the price difference.

Too often, complex pieces are designed for how they look on screen, without the detailed engineering of how they will actually be built.
