AI does not replace a trained eye. It scales the one you already have.
Bedroom viz. Modelled in SketchUp, rendered and animated with AI.
My stack over the years. SketchUp, Revit, D5, now AI. Two things never did:
1. Study photographers.
Learn how light behaves and how they shape it. Just enough to say why one image feels real and another does not.
2. Embrace camera flaws.
Depth of field. Chromatic aberration. Lens distortion. A little vignetting.
Every photo you have ever seen carries these. Your eye reads them as real. Strip them out and the image announces itself as CGI.
Describe light like a photographer, ask for the lens flaws, and AI stops looking generated. Skip that and you just make fake work faster
