How incredible that three of my works have been selected for the ‘Botanicals & Bloom’ exhibition across the water starting soon. 🌿

It’s the first time my work will been shown in the UK, and I’m incredibly excited about it.

I’m also curious to see how the pieces will be experienced in the context of the exhibition. There’s something so interesting about watching a work take on a different meaning or feeling when it enters a new space and meets a new audience.

Even though the sunny skies are on hold for a little while, I still need to share this summer’s favourite breakfast bowl. ☀️🌻

Greek yoghurt, wild peaches, flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, and a drizzle of maple syrup. So fresh, simple, healthy and delicious.

Oh, and those puppy eyes… clearly hoping for a little taste. 🐶🤍

It will soon be a year in this space, and somehow I feel like I’m only just beginning to enjoy it. The canals, the light in the studio—there’s something especially precious about it this time of year.

I never thought a cucumber could make this. 🥒

I’m continuing my little experiment of printing with vegetables—and this time, it’s a cucumber.

I love taking something completely ordinary and looking at it differently. The shape, the texture, the little details you normally wouldn’t notice… suddenly they become part of the print.

And honestly, that’s one of my favourite things about making art: you never quite know where the next idea will come from.

I never thought I’d meet one in my studio in Utrecht without ever having travelled to New Zealand.

Someone who once called New Zealand home brought these ferns with them when they moved to Utrecht. With so much pleasure and fascination, I preserved and captured their memories. And now, they’ve found their forever home.

High summer always arrives before I'm ready for it.

That specific feeling—it's still summer, but I felt it in my chest last week. Something in the light has shifted. For many, it's the holiday month, and you can hear it in the quiet mornings. You notice the sunflowers and think, oh no... not yet, not yet.

Last week, I worked on September for the botanical calendar. Sunflowers felt right immediately—that golden abundance standing right at the edge of the season turning.

The calendar is taking shape. Twelve months, twelve botanical prints, each one made from plants I collected in nature during that month. January through September are now complete.

Now it's time for the autumn and winter months. So many wonderful suggestions came in last week, and I'm taking every one seriously. Thank you for being part of this. 🌻
