If you’re not familiar with Pompompurin, he’s one of Sanrio’s characters, part of the same family as Hello Kitty. 💛

My kid requested a giant version of him, so naturally, I had to make one! 🧶

And here he is, in all his oversized, fluffy, detailed crocheted glory! 💛🐶

One of my crochet projects while spending some time abroad. 🇲🇽🧶

For those unfamiliar with Our Lady of Guadalupe, she is the patron saint of Mexico and holds a very special place in Mexican culture and Catholic tradition. According to tradition, she appeared several times in December 1531, near what is now Mexico City, where the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe stands today.

Anyway, a bit of Mexican culture and history behind this project… I crocheted this version of Our Lady of Guadalupe for my mom and I think she turned out very pretty ❤️

𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖.

Thank you to everyone who has come to a meeting, brought a project, shared a table, helped someone with a stitch, joined a conversation, taught something, learned something, laughed with us, or simply sat and crafted in good company.

The Crochet Corner Stavanger exists because people keep showing up and making room for one another.

Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or joined us only recently, thank you for being part of it. ❤️

Happy World Gratitude Day 2026 from The Crochet Corner Stavanger.

Today is a sad day for Norway. 🇳🇴

The Crochet Corner Stavanger brings together people from many different countries, but is the place where this little community found its home.

Today, we join the rest of the country in remembering King Harald and send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.

Hvil i fred, Kong Harald. ❤️🇳🇴

Yesterday, a few of us from The Crochet Corner Stavanger took our projects to STRIKKEKINO Odeon Stavanger in collaboration with Magiske Masker🧶🎬

I’m not entirely sure how much of the evening was knitting and crocheting and how much was laughing, but we definitely had a good time 😂

Thank you, ladies, for coming! ❤️ See you at the next one! 🧶🍿

☀️ Thank you to everyone who came yesterday! 🧶❤️ It was so nice to see so many new faces joining us, and even nicer to see everyone making the evening their own — talking, laughing, helping each other, sharing projects and getting to know new people.

There was definitely a lot more going on than crochet and knitting 😂 and I think that’s what makes these meetings so much fun.

And apparently 20:30 is still only a suggestion, because some of us stayed until the bar staff actually asked us to leave 😂

Thank you for coming, for being so open with each other and for making new people feel welcome from the moment they arrived. Seeing the messages afterwards from people saying how welcomed they felt made me especially happy. ❤️

Another very good night at The Crochet Corner Stavanger 🧶❤️
