I find pieces like this one: tired, overlooked, full of bones. That's when the work begins. Not with paint. With vision. With colour. With the sense of what wants to live inside the wood.

Every piece I create begins with a love of colour, character and transformation. I rescue forgotten furniture and reimagine it as functional art, one-of-a-kind pieces that tell a story and bring beauty, personality and joy into the home.

That's the work. That's what moves me: transforming tired furniture into pieces someone will love, will sit with, will tell people about in their home.

Bold colour isn't brave. It's honest. It's saying: I know what I love, and I'm not apologizing for it.

The homes that have soul are the ones where someone decided: this is the colour that makes me feel alive. This is the piece that makes me happy to come home to.

Deep teals. Warm terracottas. Soft coastal blues. Colour that says something about who lives there.

Every piece I finish is a vote for colour. For personality. For homes that feel like they belong to real people.

Most of the furniture I find starts with a Marketplace listing.

A piece someone no longer wants. Something taking up space in the garage. Sometimes something that’s only one step away from being left on the roadside.

But I see what it could become.

A solid timber frame. A sideboard with great bones. A cabinet with beautiful details hidden beneath an outdated finish.

So I choose carefully.

Back in my workshop, the transformation begins. Each piece is thoroughly cleaned and properly prepared using products designed to help the new finish adhere and last. Then comes the creative part — choosing colours, restoring timber where it suits the design, adding decorative details and building up durable protective finishes.

It can take days, sometimes weeks, before I’m happy with every detail.

When it leaves my hands, it isn’t simply refreshed.

**It’s rescued.**

And I love that, because I believe our homes should be filled with pieces that have a story. Pieces with character. Colour chosen because it creates a feeling, rather than simply following a trend.
