WHAT IF THE OBJECTS WITHIN A SPACE COULD TELL ITS STORY?

We are beginning to explore THE RED THREAD, a new collection conceived for a boutique hospitality project.

The collection begins with the exposed red roots of the pōhutukawa, like threads of life running through the earth, and the story of the red thread of fate: an invisible connection between people that may stretch, twist or tangle, but can never be broken.

These ideas are woven together with the movement of falling water, inspired by the carved waterfall at the beginning of the Karamatura Track in Huia and its story of two lovers sheltering behind the cascade.

Why create something unique for a space?

Because the objects we live alongside shape how a place feels and how it is remembered. A meaningful piece can create a sense of identity, belonging and connection. It gives guests more than something beautiful to look at, it gives them a story to discover and an experience they carry with them.

Each piece is envisioned as an object with soul: handcrafted by local makers in ethical materials, connecting the character of the land with the people who visit it.

This is our expression of ethical luxury, design that is beautiful, meaningful and made with care.

A RUG THAT DOES MORE THAN COMPLETE A ROOM — IT CHANGES HOW THE ROOM FEELS.

The LIQUID EMBRACE rugs began with a poem, then a drawing, the fluid lines of two bodies moving towards one another, held in an eternal embrace.

Handcrafted from premium New Zealand wool, silk, or a beautiful combination of both, each rug brings softness, warmth and natural wellbeing into an interior. Sculptural, timeless and deeply tactile, it transforms the floor into a work of art.

A SNEAK PEEK AT A PRIVATE COMMISSION.

LIQUID EMBRACE Stool handcrafted from 50,000-year-old New Zealand swamp kauri and brass.

For thousands of years, this ancient timber rested beneath the earth, preserved in silence. Now it carries a new story, one of two bodies moving towards one another, surrendering, merging and becoming almost impossible to separate.

Each piece bears an official registration tag, recording the provenance and legal extraction of the ancient swamp kauri, a mark of authenticity that forever connects the finished work to the land it came from.

Something beautiful is taking shape in the heat.

We’re back in the glass studio with Isaac Monmouth Glass Studio , exploring light, form and the extraordinary alchemy of molten glass.

There is something deeply captivating about watching an idea move from fire to form, shaped slowly by hand, breath and instinct.

There is something deeply humbling about working with timber that has existed for tens of thousands of years.

The FLOWKINTSUGI Coffee Table is crafted from 50,000-year-old swamp kauri, ancient material shaped by time, preserved beneath the earth, and now transformed into something beautiful.

Rather than hiding its history, the design celebrates it. Flowing brass moves through the timber like a precious seam, honouring the marks, imperfections and memories held within the wood.

Handcrafted by the exceptional makers at Tréology 🏁 and Metalroom Metalroom Ltd , reclaimed timber, rescued river Matai, is given new life alongside sculptural metalwork, transforming materials with history into a timeless piece for the future.
