What a busy week it has been 🙏

I thought when I done my cord order I had enough of everything, unfortunately NO i didnt.
Went to go do a cord order just to see they have sold out of white 😫 and wont be getting more till the 20th which feels so far away.

So today im on the hunt for some white cord 🤞🏽if im unsuccessful then the pieces needing white will be delayed, which ill message individual.

Wish we luck whanau, coz this girl has been stressing since Tuesday on where to source good quality cord x

I had the absolute honour and privilege of creating these Ruru Te Mana O Te Huruhuru pieces for a beautiful whānau who have recently lost their matriarch.

To be chosen to create something so meaningful in remembrance of someone so dearly loved is something I truly don’t take for granted.

These pieces are more than just mahi, they carry aroha, remembrance and a little piece of the love this whānau holds for their loved one ###

Thank you for trusting me with such a special taonga during such a difficult time. It means more to me than words can say.

Well… I’m STILL bloody sick! 🤧

And let me tell you, all this coughing has my whole body feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck!
My ribs, my back, my stomach… EVERYTHING is sore! 😩

All I actually want to do is curl up on the couch, rest and do absolutely NOTHING.
BUT… apparently my brain didn’t get the memo 🙄

When you’re so used to being up all day, doing mahi, cleaning, cooking, sorting everyone else out and just constantly being on the go… actually sitting down feels WRONG!

My body: “Girl, you NEED to rest.”
My brain: “But there’s stuff to do…”
My body: “REST.”
My brain: “Just one little job…”
😂😂😂
And then comes the guilt! Why do we feel guilty for resting?!

So I’m trying to remind myself that the mahi will still be there tomorrow. The house isn’t going anywhere. The orders aren’t going anywhere. And I’m no good to anyone if I run myself into the ground.

If you’re anything like me and struggle to sit still, consider this your reminder too, RESTING IS NOT BEING LAZY.
Sometimes your body just needs you to bloody listen to it.

Now excuse me while I go sit down before my brain finds me another job to do. 🤣🤦‍♀️
