I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend 🤍
And to everyone who celebrated Father’s Day yesterday, sending you all so much love to those celebrating their first Father’s Day as dads, I hope your day was filled with love and beautiful moments with your tamariki. And to those who had to celebrate their first Father’s Day without their dad here, or another year without your dad beside you, my heart is with you🤍I can only imagine that kind of grief never really gets easier🕊️
And to all the Māmās who have had to step up and be both mum and dad, or carry that father figure role for your babies, sending yous so much aroha too🤍
This weekend was honestly a really good one for me. I got to spend some time with my babies and I decided to just get in the car with my boys and go🙌🏽No overthinking it, no trying to get everything done, just us making the most of our weekend☀️We went to the pools at Kaipātiki Hot Springs (previously known as Parakai) and it was exactly what we needed❤️ It was so good to just be present with my boys, have fun, laugh and bond with them🥹Sometimes you get so caught up in everything that you forget to slow down and actually enjoy those little moments I really needed that reset to lock back in🔒
We also got to take our boys to see their daddy🫶🏽 for the ones that know, you know that situations like that can be hard. There’s a lot of emotions that come with it, but I’m just so grateful we got to see him and spend that time together. Definitely another one of those things that I don’t think ever really gets easier❤️
So yeah, feeling grateful for the weekend, grateful for my babies and grateful for the little moments that remind me what really matters🥰
I hope yous all had a beautiful weekend too. Sending love and aroha to everyone who may have needed it a little extra this weekend🤍
Ka hari te Rāhina katoa✨
