CUSTOM MADE MOROCCAN RUGS
Our handwoven rugs are made to order in Morocco from the highest quality mountain sheep wool. They are a blend of heritage craft with modern design and exclusive collaborations.
Our beautiful rugs are entirely knotted by hand, one knot at a time. Pile heights are between 2.5 - 3.8 cms…average height 3.20 cms.
We can create a short and compact pile height of 1.5 cms on request, or as long and shaggy as you like.
The rugs are densely knotted, creating a luxurious and lush field of soft wool. Our secret washing technique enhances the softness even more.
Our rugs are handwoven to order. Current lead times are 12 - 16 weeks. Due to being hand knotted each rug is unique, slightly different from the last. Variants and minor imperfections are a sign of a rug woven just for you. In a world of standardisation and mass machine production our rugs are markers of true luxury. We offer standard and custom rug sizes for any room in your home or office.
Our weaving studio occupies a space next to a sun drenched courtyard where up to 40 skilled women weavers are employed. The sound of thumping weaving comb hammers fills the air where our expert team explore new designs and possibilities in this ancient art.
Average price of a 300 x 200 cms rug is $1680 NZD each, shipping by DHL Express included.
