Getting so close! Still some blossoms left to finish & then I’m ready to tackle the background. Swipe to the end to see the video!.

My pet commissions keep me so wonderfully busy which is why this passion project has been waiting in my studio since the start of the year. But with the Faber-Castell deadline looming, I’m finally bringing this 'UNIQUE' concept to life!.

I’m using my favourite Polychromos pencils to create a giant skull covered in hyper-vibrant colours & drips, wearing headphones, surrounded by delicate cherry blossoms.

Stepping back to the drawing board with a full heart today 🤍

After a gentle break to process losing my own sweet dog, it feels grounding to be holding my pencils again.

I’ve been quietly chipping away at the first of 8 custom pet portraits on my desk - a surprise cat piece that is almost finished, which is hidden for now! 🤫

I also have a completed secret dog portrait from my last batch waiting for a final reveal once it's safely with it's family.

Thank you all for your immense patience & lovely messages while I’ve been away. It's so good to be back.

On Monday morning, my precious dog Bella passed away. My heart is completely broken & I am struggling to find the right words but I wanted to share her beautiful face with you all.

She was my constant companion, my absolute best friend & a massive part of my soul. Everything feels so empty without her & my family & I are navigating an incredibly heavy wave of grief right now.

Thank you for filling my life with so much unconditional love, my sweet girl. Rest peacefully, my darling Bella. The house is far too quiet without you here but my heart will hold you close & love you forever 🤍

I am sorry if I am a bit quiet on here for the next wee while but I do plan to share some work soon.

When the portrait looks so real you have to give it a sniff!.

Miss Zephyr was the lucky winner of my pet portrait giveaway & her mum sent through this beautiful photo of her posing with her custom plywood round. She shared the sweetest reaction:

"Holy heck you are so talented! I absolutely love it. I showed Zephyr straight away & she tried to lick & sniff it."

Capturing Zephyr’s defined, muscular build on this 43cm plywood round was such a rewarding process. Every detail of her short coat was hand-drawn using Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils, then sealed with a premium satin varnish.
