There's only 2 weeks until Labour weekend 😊. Not only is it a long weekend, it's also the first market for the season at Cromwell Freemarket.

Currently chain maille is my obsession 😁. To go with my bracelets, I now also earrings and necklaces 😊. I'm happy to adjust these on the day for a perfect fit.

So mark your calendar, or set a reminder on your phone. The Cromwell Freemarket is on every Sunday from 9 until 1 in the Masonic lodge grounds. See you there 😎

There's only 2 weeks until the World Gold Panning Champs. It's being held in Cromwell this year and looks like and fun day out. I will also be there 😊.

I was planning to do a bit of market prep this weekend. But instead, I went off down a rabbit hole🐇🕳.
For a while now I've been thinking about chainmail, particularly chainmail bracelets. With lots of random jump rings laying around, I thought I'd give it a go 😊.
Well now I'm hooked. Boarding on obsessed 😂. Then I ran out of jump rings. So I tried to make my own jump rings ( that's a whole different rabbit hole 😂) Then I tried incorporating some cutlery. I'm unsure if I like the cutlery, or if I even need it 🤔.

And this is why I called myself whimsical creations 😊

I've been on a bit of a roadie over the last week🚙. Due to the weather🌧 and road conditions it led me to places I hadn't been in a while.
From Cromwell to Timaru, and over Arthur's Pass to Hokitika. I spent a lovely day with the girls at The Cool Little Market . After a couple of nights with friends in Harihari. Due to state highway 6 being closed, I ventured back over Arthur's Pass via Greymouth back to Timaru. ( It was nice to be back on the dry side of the island 😊) Then home via Waimate and the Lindis Pass.
Lots of Op shops were visited along the way, and many goodies found 😊.
It was nice to be welcomed home by two little happy faces 🐶🐶 😊

It's been quite the adventure getting to Hokitika. Yesterday, due to weather, I decided to head east through the pig route and on to Timaru for the night.
This morning I headed towards Arthur's Pass via the inland route, only to be detoured by flooding. It added an extra hour to the trip😪. When I finally made it to the pass it was very wet and windy with a beautiful rainbow 😊. I was very relieved to make it to Hokitika late this afternoon. I was in time to catch the sun setting into the ocean.😍
Tomorrow you will find me at The Cool Little Market in Hokitika, from 10-3. 😊

I just had to share this as it made me laugh 😂

This afternoon I decided to make a LP bouquet of rubber daffs to donate to a local daffodil day fundraiser.
I made the daffs, and slipped them into the LP sleeve. I was feeling pretty happy with how they had turned out 😊.
I then flipped the LP over to see what it was. I just cracked up 😂. "You don't bring me flowers" by Neil Dimond 🤣🤣🤣
